(Sunday School)
First Day School meets during the time of adult meeting for worship during the academic year. Our First Day School is small and the schedule may vary if one of our families cannot attend one week. There is childcare provided every week, however.
First Day School begins with opening exercises in the meetinghouse, then goes to the activity building (on Montgomery Avenue on the other side of the the burying ground and the General Wayne Inn) at 11:00 when the adults begin Meeting for Worship. The students and teachers join the rest of the meeting in the meetinghouse about 11:45 to worship together.
First Day School lessons are mostly self-contained topics. This fall began a year of study of the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament). A visitor can drop in on a single week's lesson without difficulty. As there are often craft projects, playclothes are appropriate.
